Learning about Nuclear Energy in the Mathematics and Physics Classroom
On Tuesday October 19th, 2021, the Department of Mathematics, Research Skills and Analysis, at Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning (Toronto, ON, Canada), is hosting an online event on how nuclear energy concepts can be discussed in Mathematics and Physics classrooms. Faculty are invited to attend a session on how to bring the subject of nuclear energy into the classroom, for mathematics and physics courses. This session will cover the basics of nuclear energy, and its roll in energy production strategy and reduction of fossil fuel emissions. Examples of mathematics and physics questions relating nuclear energy with a variety of subjects will also be presented.
