Science and Technology Enrichment Program Field Trip

October 2025 (Also available throughout the year) The Savannah River Site Science and Technology Enrichment Program (STEP) Field Trip Program is a cooperative effort between Savannah River Nuclear Solutions and the Ruth Patrick Science Education Center to offer in-person and virtual environmental science field trips to teachers and students. STEP lessons correlate to academic standards for 3rd-12th grade students and utilize real-world investigations that focus on responsible environmental stewardship. In-person classes are taught in outdoor settings at the Savannah River Site.
