STEP up to STEM at the Savannah River Site! Science and Technology Enrichment Program (STEP) Savannah River Site (SRS) Environmental Science Field Trip Program The SRS STEP Field Trip Program is a cooperative effort between Savannah River Nuclear Solutions and the Ruth Patrick Science Education Center to offer in-person and virtual environmental science field trips to teachers and students. STEP lessons correlate to academic standards for 3rd-12th grade students and utilize real-world investigations that focus on responsible environmental stewardship. In-person classes are taught in outdoor settings at the Savannah River Site.
